ROLLING MILL STAND
 

MILL STANDS : Are available in 3 Hi, alternate 2 Hi, or 2 Hi configuration, open/ closed type, with fibre or spherical roller bearings or gun metal keys.

 

HOUSING : Are made of Cast Iron or Cast Steel duly annealed or steel fabricated duly stress relieved. The housing window is lapped for parallelity and are provided with ground liners for enhanced housing life. S.S. ground liners can also be provided. The housing post section is designed to with stand peak rolling load.

 

CHOCKS : Are made of cast/ forged or profile cut steel. The chocks are designed for maximum roll size adjustment and are suitably designed to hold bearing, lifting arrangement, water cooling system and are protected against scale embedment.

 

ROLL ADJUSTMENT :  Top roll setting device comprising of hanging bolts and balancing springs. Bottom roll setting device comprising of adjustable single/ double taper wedge arrangement moved laterally by screw action.  Roll axial adjustment is made by side clamps, resting against the chock face or toggle system.

LUBRICATION : Lubrication lines to bearings and oil splash line onto gears are provided. External lubrication unit comprising of gear pump, filters, heat exchanger can also be supplied.

SURINDRA-FLEXIBLE GEAR COUPLINGS
 

Surindra - Flexible Gear Couplings are the result of many years of experience in the field of mechanical power transmission.

 

These gear couplings are distinguished by their mechanical flexibility and compensation of angular, parallel and axial misalignments of the connected shafts. They are made for extensive use in Rolling Mills, Sugar Mills, Cement Plants etc.

 

Flexible Gear Couplings basically consist of two hubs with external teeth and two outer sleeves with internal spur teeth. The two outer sleeves function as a single rigid unit being bottled at the centre providing a totally enclosed oil tight and dust proof element.

 

Gear Hubs and the outer sleeves are manufactured from Forged Carbon Steel. They are machined to fine tolerance for proper meshing of the gears as well as for inter-changeability.

 

The mating gear teeth make contact through a constant semi-fluid grease film. positive lubrication of all the teeth being assured due to the action of centrifugal force on the grease, created by the speed of the rotating coupling. The effective lubrication system ensures silent operation, cushioning of shock loads and minimum wear of the gear teeth. A semi-fluid grease of suitable viscosity is recommended for the majority of applications.

BILLET SHEARING MACHINE

These machines have, for many years, held a high reputation among Steel Rolling mills They are built on sturdy and straight-forward lines and are quite self-contained. They are of exceptionally robust construction, are specially designed for rapid cutting of Steel Billets from 4" (100mm) to 6" (150mm) and posses the stamina for consistent high speed duty. They are fabricated from tested rolled plates from main producers, which are mild in composition, but sturdy in performance. All the drive gears are manufactured out of forged En-9/19/24 Steel which are duly hardened and grounded. The shaft / Crank is forged En - 8/9 steel. All the Bearings are of best quality. SHEARING MACHINES

ROTARY SHEARS
 

Rotary Shears are used for automatic cutting of split hot ends (front and rear). They are also used at cooling bed to cut fixed length of finished bars. Their size ranges from 300 mm P.C.D. to 500 mm P.C.D.. Their cutting capacity is up to 50 sq. mm hot bars at 800 Degree Celsius. Rotary Shears operate at speed of up to 12 meters / second.

 
They can be fixed or swiveling type rotary shears with pneumatic cylinder fitted for body swivel and shifting pipes. The power requirement is 5 H.P. to 20 H.P. The cutting blades are made up of Alloy Steel duly Heat Treated and Grounded and require minimum maintenance and down time.
